Helena Catholic Journey

The Catholic Journey community gathers the 3rd Monday of each month (except for July and September) at 7 p.m., at the Cathedral of St. Helena Brondel Center, which is in the basement of the Cathedral. Visit their website to contact them, learn more about monthly gatherings and Catholic Journey retreats, or for announcements or prayer requests.

The Catholic Journey retreat offers a unique opportunity to learn more about one’s faith, to enhance Catholic fellowship and to recommit ourselves to working in the Lord’s vineyard. In Helena, the men’s and women’s retreat weekends take place in early fall. Email to learn more about making a Catholic Journey retreat.

This particular devotion was inspired by Bro. Carmelo Cortez, an ordinary man blessed with special gifts from God. It was June 12, 1991, that Bro. Carmelo, living in Quezon City the Philippines, first witnessed manifestations of rose petals with religious images, and healing. He saw the Mother of Eucharist and Grace, a young lady dressed in white and bathed in brilliant light. Her heart was visible with the Eucharist at the center surrounded by golden stars. She held a rosary on her right hand and a scapular on her left. The Mother of the Eucharist and Grace had three wishes, that through Bro. Carmelo, the people would go back to the Roman Catholic Church; that the people should receive the body and blood of Christ; and the need for prayer for the priests.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and is unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. It was on these bedrock principles that the Order was founded over a century ago thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut and some of his parishioners. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity. It remains today a Catholic fraternal service organization and has grown to over 13,000 Councils world-wide with over 1.8 million members. It is the largest organization of Catholic laity in the world. Visit website »
